Well, not quite. When I'm really tired (like after a late night gaming) and I go to bed but can't quite yet sleep, I have auditory hallucinations - I can hear voices, or someone screaming, or breaking glass. It's like my brain is buzzing and projecting all these noises into the silence. Sometimes I'll be almost falling asleep and then I "hear" a scream, or someone say something, and that wakes me right back up.
And this NYTimes article says I may not be crazy!
But if you don't believe the article, or think that it's a mild form of schizophrenia showing up, let me assure you, it only happens when I'm really tired. So I'm normal, most of the time. Just don't sleep-deprive me.
